Our POW project aims to use the positive words and attitudes in conversations between professionals and families of children with SEND. Language used when speaking to SEND children, young people and their families is incredibly powerful. Although discussion may be with the best of intention, sometimes gestures and conversations can unfortunately be unhelpful, miss the mark or even worse, be offensive and hurtful.

Our aim with this project is to show how powerful the use of correct wording can be to children, young people and their families.
