The Local Offer is a statutory service which the local authority must provide under the SEN Code of Practice. It should have all the information that young people with additional needs and their families need – everything from how to understand the EHCP process; how to access Short Breaks; how to access mental health services – it should be a one-stop-shop for everything SEND. The current Local Offer is not everything it should be and so Voice4Parents are involved in the re-development of the Local Offer as a strategic partner. We have taken your feedback from annual surveys and coffee mornings on what you want on the Local Offer and used it to put your views and needs forward – from what content you want and how you want it to look – we want our members and their families to be involved in testing the new site.
